About VIRGILIO
I am a Mechanical Engineer that always loved table tennis. I became a player and a referee while studying Engineering in 2004. I have participated in National and International tournaments as Referee and local tournaments as Player. I have trained in many different places, such as Rio de Janeiro (Brazil, 2004 - 2008), London (UK, 2012), Copenhagen (Denmark, 2013).
Since I have moved to Canada, I also became a YMCA volunteer and started coaching and practicing the sport in Saint John, NB.

Table Tennis is a complex sport and requires a lot both physically, intellectually and emotionally. The coach shall have high attention to detail, a lot of patience and motivate the players to pursue improvement while keeping it simple and keeping it fun. The key is to focus on the basis and improve small steps each session, to create small challenges every time and repetition, a lot of repetition.
