About MT

With a background in Lee style Tai Chi and Qigong and with diplomas in Acupressure and Qigong, I originally trained and qualified to teach Shibashi sets 1 and 2 for Age Cymru in response to student demand for classes. I have taught classes across South Wales and currently run classes and workshops in and around Cardiff. A former university professor-turned-editor, I am learning British Sign Language and hope one day to be able to offer signed Tai Chi classes. I am fully qualified, DBS checked and insured.

About the lesson

Learn to relax the mind and body with the traditional Chinese practice of Qigong. Understanding how to embrace and enhance your vital energy (Qi) can ameliorate physical discomfort, correct alignment and posture, increase energy levels, improve balance and mobility and help achieve mindfulness. Regular practice: • Improves general health and wellbeing • Strengthens bones • Opens joints • Tones muscles, tendons and ligaments • Aligns posture • Enhances breathing, balance, circulation and digestion • Connects body and mind Specialisations include: Ba duan Jin, Shibashi sets 1, 2 and 3. Forms, sets and stances to suit your physical needs and target areas, breathing and visualisation techniques, Qigong for digestion, Qigong theory. You will be guided by an experienced qualified senior instructor, certified by the Tai Chi, Qigong and Feng Shui Institute and Tai Chi for Better Health C.I.C.
