About Zachary
I myself am a dancer, hiker, athlete, nerd, fantasy world dreamer, builder, dog lover, and human with a general passion for understanding!
I’ve taught Swing Dance lessons throughout my time in University, have worked in a German language immersion summer camp for ages 8-18, and have accompanied 5 different cohorts of 25 exchange students to Germany to mentor and prepare them for their year abroad! I have had my great successes, as well as great difficulties, in and outside of the classroom and it is this combination of skills, experiences, and pursuits that I think makes me a great partner for you on your academic journey!

I would love to work with students of all ages, levels, interests, and styles! Most of my teaching experiences come from outside of the classroom setting, allowing me to gain a unique understanding of the importance of meeting students at their level and making sure they feel encouraged and comfortable making mistakes.
An understanding of the material itself is not nearly as important as understanding students’ perspectives and cognitive preferences. I’ll focus not only on the problems, but on helping students develop their own skills and methods to approach unknown or confusing material themselves.
If you’re a strong student already and are looking to deepen your understanding of material, I also possess the knowledge needed and passion for growth to help you do so!
