About Zoe

I am a patient tutor, and I will never lose my patience when explaining concepts and questions to my students as I understand that it does not feel good when tutors get impatient and rush the lessons. While having patience, I will also ensure that the pace of lessons will not be too affected and still follow the schedule that I have for my student. I am also extremely passionate in teaching, as I believe that educators should not only just teach, but also spread the joy of learning to their students to lessen the dullness of learning.

About the lesson

For language-based subjects like Chinese, Higher Chinese, and English, I tend to focus more on the students' interest in the subject and also their proficiency in applying it in their daily lives as I firmly believe that the key to doing well for these subjects has to be consistent practice and application.

For content heavy subjects like Math/Emath/Amath, I focus more on the students' familiarity with the content and the amount of question types they are exposed to. In order for my students to be fully prepared for exams, I'll enforce heavy practice and exposure to different question types for them to be fully confident when approaching exam papers.

A lesson will be around 2hrs, with a short 15min break in between (not part of the 2hrs) so that the student can remain fully engaged during the lesson. I have taught multiple students in primary school and also secondary school for about 2 years, and have helped several of them to improve from a C/D to an A.
