About Afriyie
I am an English as a Second Language teacher and a member of TESL Ontario. I have a Master of Distance Education & E-Learning from University of Maryland Global Campus. I have a post-graduate certificate in T.E.S.O.L. and an Honours Bachelor of Arts-English & History from University of Toronto.
I have been teaching E.S.L. students for four years. I have taught students in private language schools and with online companies. I have taught both group classes and private tutorials. I have taught students from age 5 to age 60. The courses I have taught include grammar, public speaking, reading comprehension, medical english, vocabulary, business english and pronunciation. I enjoy adapting lessons to the students' learning styles, cultural backgrounds and abilities.

My teaching philosophy is based on Communicative Learning Teaching. It is based on learning grammar and gaining fluency in English. I am a good teacher because I am patient, organized and friendly. The online English classes are meant for teenagers and adults. I teach grammar, public speaking, academic writing and English reading.
