About Colleen
Firstly, because of my experience as a homeschooling tutor, also using additional resources to enhance my son's learning, I understand my role as a tutor. I assist, enhance, and may add an additional viewpoint or understanding to the teacher's requirements of assignments and learning. As a Social Worker, I use patience, understanding, empathy, encouragement, and self-esteem building approaches to help the students believe in their abilities.

I homeschooled my 2 sons, one starting from grade 2 through to grade 9, and the other from grade 4 through to grade 11. I worked with a school that had a homeschooling option. My sons attended zoom classes and completed their assignments following our provincial curriculum. I assisted and tutored them through their entire experience.
