About Clare
I have taught in a variety of schools and academies in Birmingham, Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Lessons will have several parts.
1) A recap on previous work and difficulties that may have arisen.
2) An outline of new learning with activities the student can do.
3) Discussion of problems the students faced and reinforcing Key ideas.
4) Revision tips and exam techniques highlighted as appropriate.
5) Summary task.
Homework may at times be set. This could be a half hour task covering points to revise. Sometimes Inwill make suggestions of videos to be watch for revision purposes or I may set an exam question to be done.

I have worked in secondary schools since 2006 following several years in the primary sector. I have taught science to Key Stage 3 and 4 students following several different curriculum outlines. I have been through training in preparation for the curriculum recently introduced and have delivered exam preparation for both GCSE and BTEC courses. I also work with both Pearson (Edexcel) and AQA as an exam marker and have done this for the last eight years.
Lessons offered can focus on helping students fill gaps in their understanding and homework support and for older students I can take them through a revision programme to prepare them for Biology, Chemistry or Physics GCSE preparation. Lessons are developed around the student and therefore will cover the content of the curriculum their school is following. Lessons can be carried out online or face to face depending on your location.
