About Margot
Struggling to find the right liaison in a sentence can make even the most confident learner hesitate during a conversation. Imagine yourself at a Parisian cafe where you are finally able to order with ease and clarity. Because of my 13 years of teaching experience, I can identify exactly where your accent needs a slight adjustment to improve your flow.
I work with absolute beginners, teens, hobbyists, and intermediate learners to build reading comprehension and travel French skills. We can also prepare for DELF or DALF exams by focusing on the specific structures that examiners look for in candidates.
I offer a free trial lesson to assess your level and see if we are a good match. My approach is practical and rooted in the reality of speaking the language in the real world. You will leave our time together feeling much more capable than when we started.

You will find that learning French requires a guide who understands the nuances of the language through a lifetime of practice. Since I earned my Bachelor of Music in Popular Music at the Université de Montréal, I have been immersed in the local culture for over 13 years. Having taught 100s of students, I know how to navigate the bridge between simple vocabulary and genuine connection. I enjoy helping people refine their pronunciation of nasal sounds so they sound natural.
Music has defined my journey through the Montreal folk scene, which brings a rhythmic quality to my teaching style. Sometimes I even find myself singing during our sessions to keep things light. It feels good to share my native tongue with others.
