About Jessica
I am a teaching assistant at a high school and have been for two years now. At my job, I help students understand the lessons the teacher teaches, and I have even helped teach lessons with teachers before. I help students with study tips and with ensuring they understand the lessons. I also created an activity at a community center where I created an activity to turn math into fun games. This was a successful venture, and the kids learned a lot from the games I played with them. I also tutor kids sometimes at the end of the school days. If they are having a hard time with a class they are in, then I will offer to stay after school, and even offer my time on the weekends, to help them get back on track.

My lesson would start off by having a conversation with the student about what they feel like they're struggling with. Then, I would continue with teaching the student the areas of concern. After that, I would provide a mini test to ensure a complete understanding of the lesson. If the mini test shows that the student did not understand the entirety of the lesson, then I will go back over the content they did not understand.
My lessons are for older elementary through high school level students. What sets me apart from other tutors is that I am a high school teaching assistant, so my entire job is essentially tutoring students, and getting to know what works for students.
