About Clement

The most important thing for me is for my students to have fun in their lessons. I want to teach music to kids to share my passion for music and hopefully help you explore a new interest. I am all about making music as fun and interesting as possible. I have done volunteering projects going to schools and bringing classical music to students who otherwise may not experienced it before.

- Associate of the National Youth Orchestra
- 2nd Chair of Hampshire County Youth Orchestra
- 2nd Chair of Hampshire County Youth Chamber Orchestra
- ARSM in Violin Performance
- ABRSM Grade 8 Piano
- Predicted A* in A level music

I am quite well rounded when it comes to music: I like performing, listening and composing. I have experience both as a soloist and performing in chamber ensembles and in an orchestra. I also write articles about music to invite people to listen to a wider range of genres.

About the lesson

The most important thing for me is for the student to enjoy their lessons, so I like to warm up with a fun music game first (e.g. clapping along to some rhythms or call and response) before jumping into pieces. I also cover any music theory needed for that lesson (e.g. note reading). I am open to suggestions to what the pupil may want to play and am happy to work on other repertoire that the student may have (e.g. ensemble repertoires). I also like to make it fun by playing some duets for the more advanced students. My lessons are usually 30 minutes.

I have been teaching for 3 years now and have lots of experience working with younger students. Apart from teaching, I have also done mentoring projects involving younger students.
