About Lyric
I am a 25-year-old woman deeply rooted in the heart of STEM, currently chasing my dreams with a BS in Computer Science, focusing on the wonders of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. I started coding about four years ago and dipped my toes in the world of AI starting in 2018. I also have dabbled in game development, 3D modeling, graphic design, and SEO/Google AdWords. Just like you, I'm a student at heart. I understand the thrill of discovering something new, the frustration of complex problems, and the joy of finding solutions. Watching someone else find their passion they didn't know they had, figure out something that they have been struggling with, or take the chance of an entire career change is beautiful to watch. I love to be able to be a larger part of it for those I get the honor of calling my students. My hands aren't just in textbooks; they've been on keyboards, coding, testing, and bringing AI to life. From creating simple algorithms to deploying machine learning models, I've been there, done that, and I'm here to guide you through it too. No cookie-cutter lessons here. Whether you're curious about how AI can solve real-world problems or you're here to build your next big project, I'll customize our sessions to fit your interests and career aspirations. I remember what it's like to be on the learning end, to feel overwhelmed or stuck. This empathy shapes how I teach, and I strive to make sure each of my students feels supported, heard, and motivated every step of the way. Also, yes, I'm a professional, and at the end of the day, I'll ensure our sessions are structured, your progress is tracked, and your goals are met. But beyond that, I'll share stories, insights, and a laugh or two, because learning should be fun, not just functional. So, if you're looking for someone who's not just knowledgeable but also genuinely cares about your learning journey, someone who's walked the path you're on and is eager to share not just knowledge but experiences, then I'm your go-to. Let's make technology not just something you learn but something you love. Welcome!

Methodology & Techniques:
I employ a hands-on, code-focused teaching method where students are encouraged to learn by doing.
This involves:
Interactive Coding Sessions: Where concepts are introduced through live coding, followed by immediate problem-solving exercises.
Project-Based Learning: Students work on real-world projects, from simple websites to full-stack applications, integrating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Code Reviews: After each task, I will review students' code, providing constructive feedback. I make sure that I completely understand what is confusing the student so we can tackle it before it becomes a blind spot, which can be detrimental in the STEM field.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Concept Introduction (10-15 min): A brief lecture on the day's topic, explaining concepts with real-life examples.
Live Coding (10-15 min): I code live, demonstrating how to implement the concept, explaining each step.
Student Practice (20-30 min): Students replicate what was shown, working on a similar task or a mini-project.
Discussion and Q&A (10-15 min): Open floor for questions, troubleshooting, and discussing alternative approaches or advanced uses.
Homework or Project Assignment: Students are given tasks to complete independently, which will be reviewed in the next session.
Current Student Insight: Being in the midst of a Computer Science degree, I bring fresh, relevant knowledge and understanding to current learning challenges and trends.
Adaptability: Lessons are tailored to fit the student's pace, learning style, and interests, ensuring no student feels left behind or unchallenged. I strive to make my students feel seen and create an environment where they are comfortable with me being aware of where they struggle and we can communicate in a way that works for both of us.
Ideal Students:
Beginners to Intermediate Learners: Anyone starting from zero or with basic knowledge looking to deepen their understanding in web development.
High School to College Students: Particularly those studying or aspiring to study Computer Science, looking for supplementary learning or project guidance.
Career Changers: Professionals seeking to transition into tech, needing a strong foundation in web development.
Hobbyists: Individuals interested in web design and development as a hobby or for personal projects.
My approach ensures that students not only learn the syntax of languages or the functionality of tools but also develop a mindset for problem-solving, creativity in design, and an appreciation for the broader scope of computer science. This comprehensive teaching style aims to prepare students not just for exams, but for real-world challenges in tech and beyond.
