About Jerome

I'm a senior technology expert from the UK who has had the fortune of working around the world in the IT industry, from the UK and Europe, to Japan, the US and the Middle East. In this time I have worked on projects and product development from building web sites and ecommerce stores to complex humanoid robotics projects and AI-based cybersecurity platforms. My experiences have given me a broad knowledge of almost every aspect of technology and a wide understanding of what works, and what technology can achieve, and what it cannot. I also bring a healthy dose of humour and realism to the subject, cutting through some of the hype behind new technology, and helping students identify where in IT they should be investing their efforts for the future. I enjoy making complex ideas simple, and breaking things down so that it's easy to understand and learn.

About the lesson

- Course length depends on the depth of study, but I always recommend focused, short bite-sized courses of 5 or 10 lessons - Each course is personalised to the individual learner, focused on what you need, whether that is taking your first step into a career in IT, getting to grips with the basics of how things work, or more focused tutoring on a detailed aspect of IT - Project Management, Design, Coding, Architecture, New Technologies (Blockchain, AI) - Individual lesson length 1 hour, each lesson is followed by a related home study research task, to reinforce learning outcomes - Each lesson is 1-2-1 using multimedia & supporting materials - Lessons are held in a relaxed, comfortable manner - learning should be fun! - I've been teaching, mentoring and leading teams of IT engineers and staff for more than 15 years, and recognise that every learner is unique and learns in a different way - For everyone from 16 to 60+ who wants to get to grips with the modern world and technology. My lessons should be a stepping stone that can lead you into the profession and on to more formal qualifications and certifications in your area of choice
