I am very calm and patient. My goal will be to understand you and your strengths in order to adapt the lesson. Of course, I will focus some exercises to improve your technique, but it is only a fraction of your game.
Confidence in yourself is the key!

  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

I started playing tennis as a kid (6 years old) as my older brother was a tennis player. When I was 12, my love of tennis reached a new step because I became a ball boy at Roland Garros. It was the first time I watched professional tennis players, in such a huge tournament.

Since that event, I have been motivated to improve my level with individual and team competitions.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

Tennis is part of my life since my childhood. I love playing with some friends during hours, watching tennis on tv or going to a tournament. Tennis is an individual sport but I can share this passion with so many people!

Secondly, I'm keen on learning and teaching it, because it's complex. Technically, mentally and physically, this sport is challenging. You have to be coordinated, focused and be able to always adapt to everything: the ball, the opponent, the conditions, etc…
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

My first experience with tutoring came when I was 15, indeed I followed my tennis teacher during a week, giving some lessons to children. I loved it so I have practiced my tutoring skills in tennis many times with my friends and as captain of my team.

I think I am a Superprof because I am calm, patient and organized. Actually, it is what my students and friends think about me! Secondly, I have drawn my experience from many opportunities over the years : I have taught math to teenagers, plus I have tutored interns and young engineers in my company.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

As a player, my model is Roger Federer! A huge champion that I can describe with some words : perfection, elegance and relaxation while playing.

As a tutor, my model is Angel, who was my best tennis coach by far. He is a very nice, passionate and performance-oriented teacher. He was counting points on a notebook for each player: more points for a winner shot or for a special shot practiced during the lesson. I have learnt also that I have to focus on my strengths, building my confidence.
  • What are your keys to success?

First, I want my students to be successful. So as a tutor, I try to help them to build skills, confidence and a method. Of course, this method has to be adapted to each student in order to keep improving alone or after we stop our lessons.

I help them to fix goals, to stay serious and consistent in their work. It is so important to be organized and to evaluate the progress to keep a strong motivation in the long term. Because we need to practice and practice again, better a bit every day than a lot every month.

Lastly, I need and my students need to build confidence, to know our own values and strengths so you can rely on them when it's more difficult.
