About Arwen Gioy
I used to teach English Grammar and speaking subjects to Korean students aged from 8-15 years old in a Korean English Academy in the Philippines. I also taught university and adult students from Basic to Intermediate level and taught them how to make preparations for their IELTS and TOEFL exams. I also taught Business English to Japanese professionals and continued to help them as well for exam preparations. I got promoted to the supervisory position however, I wanted to go back to teaching. I transferred to a Chinese company and worked as a Top tutor. I can teach various English courses from Basic to Advanced levels in Speech, Proofreading, Writing, Reading, Business English, and Exam Preparations.

I have completed several pieces of training for teaching IELTS/TOEFL, ACCENT, and English for Kids and Adults. I am firmly committed to regularly assessing students' comfort and engagement in class. I believe that regular testing of concepts is essential, but students must also feel like confident, resilient learners. I praise students not just for mastery of the material but also for critical thinking, effort, curiosity, and creativity. I lead by example, always working to improve my own skills in these areas as an educator.
