About Nia
I’m a proud Veteran and ASL Interpreting and Transliteration Program graduate with 5+ years of ASL interpreting in various settings and tutoring experience across classrooms, communities, and one-on-one sessions. My style of tutoring ASL helps to improve signing confidence, non-verbal expression, and vocabulary/grammar memorization using mnemonics. As a hearing interpreter, tutor, and peer, I'm here to successfully guide students through an unfamiliar world having the necessary confidence, proper education, encouragement, and cultural understanding to communicate effectively.

EACH CLASS starts with a quick review, then HANDS-ON practice that keeps you SIGNING CONFIDENTLY AND NATURALLY. I tailor every session (including RWI sessions) to your goals and learning style — whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or ITP student looking to connect with the Deaf community.
