I have learned to teach using analogies. Typically, adults do not understand much about their bodies when sick, whether farming, auto-mechanic or cooking to drive points home. I continue adapting strategy until the student lights up.
As a retired pharmacist I have had plenty opportunities to teach. Over 35 years I taught what I know, spanning many aspects of science and healthcare including pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacology, math and physics.
I have worked for a chain of chemists in England, once graduated. The company continually promoted me. I eventually moved to Canada where I worked in Northern Ontario in clinical and administrative management of hospital pharmacies. (North Bay and Sudbury)
Thereafter, I bought my own retail pharmacy , first in St Jacobs, Ont , and then Elmira , Ontario.
After that, I worked freelance, both in pharmacies, covering locums, and in Industry, both clinical trials (Ventan Corp.) and Medical devices (MDMI technologies) I have a B.Sc in pharmacy, a Health coaching course and numerous professional affiliations including Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Britain
