About Joshua
Hey! I’m Joshua. I’m 22 and currently in my second year of uni studying Mechanical Engineering. I love trying new things — whether it’s snowboarding, surfing, hunting, fishing, or biking. I’ve always had a fascination with planes, and becoming a pilot is not just a dream but a goal I’m working toward after I finish uni. I got into tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping people understand concepts and being part of that “aha” moment when things finally click. It’s really rewarding to see someone gain confidence in what they’re learning. I’m also keen on developing my interpersonal and communication skills through teaching and connecting with students.

I offer 1-on-1 tutoring sessions, typically lasting 1–2 hours, tailored to each student’s individual needs. My lessons are focused on identifying and addressing the areas the student finds most challenging.
I believe the most effective way to learn is through active problem-solving, so I guide students through questions and problems step by step, encouraging them to think critically and reach solutions on their own. This approach builds understanding and confidence much more effectively than simply providing answers.
I’m currently in my second year of a Mechanical Engineering degree, and I use both my academic experience and problem-solving background to help students grasp key concepts and develop strong study habits.
My lessons are best suited for high school and early university students, particularly those studying maths, physics, or introductory engineering subjects.
