About Lucca
I am currently in my third year of undergraduate studies at The Juilliard School, where I study with Kim Laskowski, former associate principal bassoon of the New York Philharmonic. Before Juilliard, I attended Interlochen Arts Academy for high school, and I have participated in summer programs including the Round Top Festival Institute, Domaine Forget de Charlevoix, and the BUTI Young Artists Orchestra.

Lessons will focus on building a strong technical foundation, which I believe is the most crucial part of bassoon playing at the beginner and intermediate levels. We will work through etudes from the Weissenborn and Milde method books, develop scales and intonation, and play duets together to strengthen ensemble skills and musical awareness.
My teaching style balances challenge with encouragement. I push students to grow while supporting them every step of the way. And as a current student myself, I’m able to connect with younger players in a way that feels relatable, approachable, and motivating.
