About Aaron
Hi there! I'm Aaron. I’m a third year student studying for a Master's degree in Chemistry at the University of Bristol. I achieved A*A*AA in Chemistry, Maths, History and Further Maths at A-level.
The past two years, I've given over 180 lessons online, tutoring students in A-level and GCSE Chemistry and GCSE Maths. Together, we have been continually reviewing how comfortable students are with topics that we have covered across lessons, and exchanging feedback with students on how they have progressed, and what learning techniques they found most useful. It has been inspiring to see them get better marks and develop an interest in their subjects. I’m particularly familiar with AQA, OCR and Edexcel, but I’m happy to read specifications of other boards.
I hope to help you get the grades you want and also begin to appreciate the beauty of Chemistry and Maths, so that doing questions can even become a little fun.

I will base the structure and content of the lesson on what you are struggling with. It's important that you enjoy the course so we can cover what you are good at as well as what you need more help with. Together where your strengths and weaknesses are, and what learning techniques you found helped you to learn the most. I will use this to choose what learning techniques to use for future lessons, such as active recall, as well as ensuring we spend an appropriate amount of time on each topic. We will go over the topics you need help with early on in each lesson and dedicate the most time to them.
The key thing is that the lessons will be engaging throughout and you'll be involved at every stage. The lessons will be filled with problems, I won’t ramble on and you'll always be able to have a say. Even if you get the right answer there is often still room to improve your solution, so I'll be offering advice on how to present your solutions to save time in an exam.
If you want to delve deeper into particular areas of Maths or Chemistry, we can. I’ll make sure that you understand the topics as well as remembering them.
I'm happy to set homework if necessary and send and mark tests.
