About Tobias
Hi, I'm Tobias. I teach Spanish online to children and teenagers in internationally minded families.
Their parents want them growing up with a second language — because it's useful where the family lives, or because they see it as something that stays with a child for life.
What I do differently: I don't run casual conversation practice. I build a course. You'll know what your child is working on, what they've got down, and what comes next.
One thing I'd rather say upfront: Spanish isn't my native language. I learned it to an advanced level myself, which means I know exactly where the hard parts are and how to get through them — because I had to.

How it works:
After the first lesson you get a short written assessment of where your child is — listening, speaking, reading, writing — and a plan for what we tackle first.
From there, every lesson builds on the last, using material I prepare for your child specifically: vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar, always with things they can use right away.
Between lessons your child gets one or two short, fun assignments that set up the next class, so the language stays alive during the week.
Lessons are online. I adapt the pace and the topics to what your child is actually into — with kids and teenagers, that's the difference between an hour they sit through and an hour they take part in. Most families do one or two lessons a week, and we'll work out what fits.
Fixed weekly slots in your time zone, and I'm always on time. The first lesson is free, so you can see how your child responds before committing to anything.

Tobias helped me learn Spanish. He’s been a great teacher. Always adjusting the lessons to my pace of learning. Great guy, always having fun during the lessons which helps a lot learning a language faster. Definitely recommend!
Tobias is very intuitive and intelligent. I felt very comfortable with him being my teacher because he made me feel that my lack of knowledge was a part of the process. I strongly recommend him to be your teacher too!
