About Nathan
I played high-level competitive basketball for Whitby Saints, a traveling AA team for 5 years, played at Brooklin High School in Whitby, Ontario, coached by the son of a legendary coach Brad Parfit, unfortunately, COVID took the last years of my high school but that didn't stop me from dedicating my life to learning the sport and what it has to offer. I have studied at Humber College for 4 years in the sports management course where I have learned a variety of skills. I coached for Jump Basketball for their house league program for 5 years while assistant coaching their U9 team, I then transitioned to 17 Ignite in Markham where I was head coach for the U17 team. During my 5 years as a coach and my 14 years as a player I have noticed that trainers now want what I like to call a Walmart program, basic lessons you can learn on YouTube, no dedication to the athletes, and doesn't give the real experience of developing to a higher level. They want you to just keep coming back so you barely see improvement. My coaching philosophy is practice needs to be intense, dedicated, and build confidence so when you do play in games the practice you put in makes the game feel like nothing because that's the whole point. I offer in-depth training on and off the court, recorded lessons so we can review what you need to work on, and an in-depth analysis on the game. I offer refreshment, snacks, equipment, experience and I will be dedicated to watching you improve.
