Why I Teach Kathak
I am a passionate Kathak teacher, performer, and lifelong learner who believes that art has the power to transform lives. Over the years, Kathak has shaped my personality by teaching me discipline, patience, confidence, and self-expression. It has become much more than a dance form—it is a way of life.
My purpose in teaching Kathak is to preserve and share the beauty of this timeless Indian classical dance with students across the world. I believe that every individual, regardless of age or location, deserves the opportunity to learn authentic Kathak in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Through my online classes, I aim not only to teach dance techniques but also to help students develop confidence, focus, creativity, cultural awareness, and a deeper appreciation for our rich heritage. Watching my students grow as dancers and as individuals is the greatest reward of my journey as a teacher.
For me, teaching Kathak is not just a profession—it is my passion, my responsibility, and my contribution to keeping this beautiful tradition alive for future generations.

About the lesson

My Kathak Teaching Method
At Kaladhar Kathak Sadhana Kendra, I believe Kathak is not just a dance form—it is a journey of discipline, confidence, creativity, and cultural values. My online teaching method is carefully designed to provide every student with an engaging and interactive learning experience from the comfort of their home.
Each class is structured according to the student's age, learning pace, and skill level. I focus on building a strong foundation by teaching correct posture, footwork, hand movements, rhythm (Taal), expressions (Abhinaya), and body coordination from the very beginning. Every concept is explained step by step, allowing students to learn with clarity and confidence.
To ensure continuous progress, I provide individual attention, regular feedback, revision sessions, guided practice, and performance preparation. Students are encouraged to ask questions, practice confidently, and develop both technical excellence and artistic expression.
Beyond dance, my classes help students improve concentration, discipline, memory, confidence, stage presence, and appreciation for Indian classical culture. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced learner, every lesson is designed to make learning enjoyable, meaningful, and inspiring.
