About Ezzana

I am the founder of Next Level Shooting, where I focus on helping players develop efficient, fluid shooting mechanics. My coaching experience includes working with athletes ages 13–17 in AAU basketball, as well as developing younger players ages 8–13 at the YMCA.

Through these experiences, I have learned how to adapt my teaching style to each player’s age, skill level, and learning style while maintaining a strong focus on fundamentals. I combine hands-on coaching with video analysis and real-game application to ensure players improve their game.

I take pride in being a coach who can both teach and demonstrate the skills I train, while creating a positive, focused environment where players are motivated to improve and reach their full potential.

My Approach to Basketball Shooting Lessons

My goal is to help players become the best shooter they can be by combining the science of biomechanics with the art of shooting. Great shooting is not random—it is built through efficient mechanics, repetition, and understanding how the body works together to produce a consistent shot.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques

My teaching approach is unique because I questioned conventional wisdom instead of simply accepting what authority figures said, even when their intentions were good. As a result, I built my program using an evidence based approach.

Many players struggle with shooting because the traditional fundamentals are often unnatural, leading to high effort but inconsistent results. A good shot should involve a fluid transfer of energy throughout the body.

When you watch Steph Curry shoot, his shot looks very fluid and natural. However, many traditional coaching methods would not teach players to shoot the way he does. But maybe the best shooter of all time is actually doing something right, and more importantly, it can be understood, taught, and applied to help other players improve.

First Lesson:
We begin by analyzing your shot on video, which allows us to see important details and helps players see exactly what they are doing, making corrections much easier to understand and apply.

Key areas include:

• Balance and alignment
• Footwork and rhythm
• Gather and Set Point
• Arc and follow-through

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:

A typical lesson focuses on both understanding and repetition.

First, we review your shot and identify one or two key areas that will make the biggest improvement. Then we work through structured drills designed to reinforce the correct mechanics.

Each lesson usually includes:
• Video analysis of your current shot
• Mechanical breakdown and explanation
• Targeted shooting drills to reinforce improvements
• Immediate feedback and adjustments

What Sets My Lessons Apart

One thing that sets my coaching apart is that I can demonstrate and perform the techniques that I teach. Players are able to clearly see the mechanics we are working on in real time.

I have also built a large library of shooting videos from college and NBA players, which allows us to compare your mechanics to elite shooters. This helps players see how their shot relates to some of the best shooters in the world and identify similarities and differences in form.

Who These Lessons Are For:

These lessons are designed for players aged 13 and older who have a genuine desire to improve their shooting.
