About Elodie

My first language is French. I spoke it at home and still do. I did all my schooling in French and received my French Baccalaureate. Then I went on to university at UC Berkeley. I have been tutoring students in French for the last 7 years (online and in person). I was also an English teacher abroad for a year. I taught middle and high schoolers how to improve their oral communication skills. I enjoy teaching and learning new ways to help students learn and understand the language. French is a complex language that I used to struggle with as a child. Now I love teaching students the many rules and the many more exceptions to those rules and untangling the complexity of the language with them. From beginners to advanced students, I can work with them to help them achieve their goal.

About the lesson

Are you interested in French but don't know where to start? Or have you been trying to learn French but have been confused with all our conjugation and rules and exceptions to rules? Let me help you! I was born in France and did all my schooling in French until I went to UC Berkeley for undergraduate. I love teaching and have been a French tutor for over 6 years. I always personalize my lessons to work with my students' needs and their individual learning methods. I have worked with students as young as 3 years old confusing English and French all the way to 60-year-old students learning a new language during retirement.
