About Wesley
Those moments are why I love coaching. Swimming is wonderfully technical, but progress becomes much more rewarding when a swimmer understands the reason behind a movement and feels the difference for themselves. I bring my own experience in the water together with an enthusiastic and personable coaching style designed to make that discovery happen. I work patiently with beginners while giving experienced swimmers the technical detail and challenge they need to continue progressing. Depending on your goals, we can explore breathing, balance, body position, stroke efficiency, pacing, endurance, or all four strokes. For triathletes and open-water swimmers, we can also focus on the demands of longer-distance swimming and race preparation. I am not interested in simply giving instructions from the side of the pool. I like to demonstrate, observe, explain, encourage, and adapt. My aim is to make you a stronger swimmer while helping you enjoy the journey that gets you there.

We start each session by getting your body and mind comfortable in the water. After a gentle warm-up, I observe your swimming and identify the technical area most worth improving. We then work through specific drills designed around that skill, whether it involves breathing, body position, stroke timing, kicking, rotation, or propulsion. I demonstrate the movement, you practise it, and we make adjustments until it starts to feel natural. Once the technique improves, we gradually apply it to longer swims and more demanding situations. Beginners can progress from short, confident efforts toward continuous swimming, while experienced swimmers can move into endurance, pacing, efficiency, open-water preparation, or triathlon-specific work. Throughout the session, I want you to understand not just what you're changing but why it matters. We finish with feedback and a practical goal for your next session. Little by little, swimming becomes less about fighting the water and more about moving through it with purpose.
