About Mady

I’m an incoming Cambridge Medicine student and have two years of experience working at an 11+ tutoring centre, alongside several years of tutoring experience. I have attended a grammar school myself.

I teach 11+ Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning, adapting lessons to each child’s strengths, weaknesses and learning style. I have also supported students with EAL and SEN needs.

I’m patient, approachable and focused on building both academic skills and confidence. Whether your child is just starting their 11+ preparation or looking to strengthen specific areas, I’ll tailor lessons to their individual needs.

I am also DBS checked.

About the lesson

Each lesson is structured and engaging, with activities tailored to your child’s level and progress.

- Review & check-in
We’ll begin by reviewing homework and revisiting any areas the student found challenging.

- Teaching & explanation
I’ll introduce new concepts or skills using clear explanations and age-appropriate examples.

- Guided practice
We’ll work through questions together, developing accuracy, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

- Independent practice
The student will complete questions independently while I provide guidance and feedback.

- Exam skills & homework
We’ll practise time management and exam technique before setting targeted homework to reinforce the lessons
