About Zakariyya

Hi, I'm Zakariyya! I am a dedicated tutor who loves helping students navigate the stressful medical and dental school application process. Having personally scored in the top 3% of the UCAT, I know firsthand what it takes to succeed under pressure, and I want to share those exact strategies with others. I teach because I want to give applicants the confidence, practical shortcuts, and clear guidance they need to reach their full potential and secure their university places.

About the lesson

My approach to UCAT tutoring is all about breaking down the actual strategy behind the test, rather than just forcing you through endless practice questions. Having scored in the top 3% of the UCAT myself, I completely understand how overwhelming the intense time pressure and sections like Abstract Reasoning can feel. I don’t believe in rigid, boring lectures. My teaching style is hands-on and focuses on practical pattern recognition, time-saving shortcuts, and mental frameworks that you can actually rely on when the official clock is ticking.

Our lessons are usually 60 minutes long, which keeps things sharp and productive without causing burnout. We always start by tackling a few high-yield questions together so I can see how you think, spot your weak areas, and show you exactly how to fix them. From there, we work on pacing drills and build a realistic weekly plan so you know exactly what to focus on between our sessions.

As a tutor, my biggest asset is that I have successfully beaten this exact exam. Landing in the top 3% means I have a firsthand, proven understanding of how the scoring system works and how to navigate it under pressure. Zakariyya is my name, and I bring a patient, encouraging, and highly practical approach to every single session.
