About Ishika
I am an undergraduate student at UCL, studying BSc Economics with a Placement Year. I did my IGCSE exams 2 years ago, and achieved an A* for all my subjects (Maths, English, Literature, Business, and Spanish). More recently, I completed my IB Diploma program, achieving a total score of 44/45. I studied Mathematics at Higher Level, achieving the maximum mark of 7 for the subject.

I’d be happy to tutor students in maths at a GCSE level. My suggested lesson structure is as follows, but of course, each individual student has different preferences and needs, so this structure would be adapted to what works best for each student:
- The lesson would begin with doing a small practice problem to revise the content from the previous lesson
- Next, I would go over any questions that the student may have from the exercises/homework I assigned them from the previous lesson, or in general if there’s any questions they’ve come across that they’ve struggled with which I can then explain how to do
- I would then go over and explain the topic for the day, going through examples of questions step-by-step
- The lesson would then pass over to the student as I provided a couple examples for them to try to ensure they’ve understood the content
- At the end of the lesson, I would assign some textbook exercises or practice questions that I recommend they try and complete before our next lesson
