About Maria

I have 3 years of teaching experience, having taught Robotics, Astronomy, and Maths in the past. I have worked with pupils aged 10 to 17 from diverse backgrounds which allowed me to gain a varied experience that facilitated my understanding of how to tailor my teaching style to each student for effective learning.

About the lesson

I am a second-year Arts and Sciences student at UCL, focusing on Sciences and Engineering as my major and taking side courses in Economics and Philosophy. I tutor Maths and Sciences to students from Key Stage 3 to A-Level.

My tutoring style is friendly and understanding with the learning pace of each individual. In my sessions, I often include multimedia content to facilitate the visualization of more abstract concepts.

If the student is located far away, I will charge full or partial travel expenses.

Maria Tudor is an absolutely brilliant tutor - totally committed, focused and devoted. My 13 years old daughter loved her and she learned huge amounts fast, having fun at it, too. She is kind, patient and has high expectations of her students. My daughter Nicole responded very well to her calm and straight forward approach. Nicole never complained about her tutoring times and she
was delighted with her progress. Maria did not influence my daughter only regarding maths as an academic subject, but she also shared her views on the big picture of academics and work beyond school. Maria’s advice was
