About Mya
I am a dedicated sociology student at the University of Durham, interested in furthering my career in teaching. I have achieved my TEFL Level 5 qualification and as a result have a variety of experience teaching English to all abilities.
I spent two summers in Romania as a volunteer English teacher, and consequently, have a plethora of experience teaching children of a variety of ages and abilities.
Furthermore, I am able to communicate effectively and empathetically with children, demonstrated by my role as a PHAB liaison officer caring for disabled youth.
At school I was able to employ certain techniques, including choric reading and timeline association, to teach History, Geography and English to children in lower years.

I achieved 3 A*s in the above subjects at both GCSE and A-Level. Thus, I have a plethora of knowledge in the field.
