About Bilgesu

I am a first-year undergraduate at Imperial College London studying for a BSc in physics. I achieved 3 A* in A-level physics, maths and Chemistry in 2023 and have been helping A-level and GCSE maths students with my unique and very effective techniques. I am very well versed in the most recent A level and GSCE curriculum (achieved all 8/9's in my GSCEs) and know very well that the exams are getting more difficult every year but as with all exams there are patterns in these exams and with the study tips and maths tutoring that I provide I can make sure that you are in the best position that you can be for these exams. Alongside my A level and GCSE grades I scored highly in Maths and physics challenges, achieving a Gold in the UKMT and scoring in top 80 out of the thousands that applied for the Cambridge Senior Physics Challenge, recieving an Emerald award.

I decided to go into tutoring because for many years throughout secondary school I used to struggle with finding techniques to understand topics but now having spent many hours building a portfolio of techniques which I believe, based on my own experience with students , help almost everyone, I would love to share them with students who find themselves struggling like I did!

About the lesson

Each of my lessons consists of three parts- a recall of previous content covered whether that be from the previous lesson or from multiple lessons ago to ensure that you are keeping up to date with the content being taught as part of the syllabus.
The second part will consist of going through and teaching new content which you have struggled with- depending on the individual, how I teach this content can be adjusted for them. The last part ends with practice questions which start from not too difficult to A/A* level. This will help you recognise how strongly you feel about what was taught in that lesson. I also give homework at the end of my lessons.
In terms of my experience as a tutor, most of the techniques that I teach are those which help differentiate an A student from a
B student and an A* student from an A student hence the previous students that I have tutored have made considerable progress in those classes that I have helped them with, having one of my students move from a D to an A within a few months.
My lessons are for A-level and GCSE maths and physics students as wells as 11+ maths as I have the most experience in teaching students within those fields.
A typical lesson will be 1 hour long and is taught online or at the students home depending on location.
