About Elin
Hello! I’m an undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and minoring in Chemistry, with a deep passion for helping students succeed academically. While I’m relatively new to tutoring, I’m committed to providing personalized support that empowers students to master their subjects and develop effective study strategies. I speak five languages, which has given me a strong appreciation for diverse learning styles and the ability to connect with students from various backgrounds. Hi! I’m a tutor passionate about helping students strengthen their English skills and master General Biology and General Chemistry. While I’m relatively new to tutoring, I’m committed to helping students build strong foundational knowledge and develop effective study strategies for long-term success. I also work with ESL students, providing support in both language and academic subjects to improve their comprehension and confidence.
My Teaching Method & Techniques:
I focus on personalized learning and use a variety of techniques to fit each student’s unique needs. After assessing their current level of knowledge, I create customized lessons that cater to both content and study strategies. My goal is to help students not only learn the material but also develop techniques to improve study habits, time management, and retention.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Introduction & Review (5-10 minutes): Quick review of previous material and addressing any questions.
Main Lesson (25-30 minutes): Introducing new concepts through explanations, examples, and interactive discussions.
Practice/Application (10-15 minutes): Students apply concepts through exercises, problem-solving, or written work.
Wrap-up & Goal Setting (5-10 minutes): Review key points, answer questions, and set goals for the next session.

What makes my tutoring approach unique is my emphasis on study strategies and active learning.
