About Maheen
Hi! My name is Maheen, and I am an undergraduate student at the United States Air Force Academy, where I have studied Astronautical Engineering. I have a strong passion for mathematics, science, engineering, and education, and I genuinely enjoy helping others understand subjects that may initially seem difficult or intimidating.
Throughout my academic journey, I have had the opportunity to participate in scientific research, work with experienced scientists, and apply mathematics and physics to real-world problems. These experiences have strengthened not only my knowledge of STEM subjects but also my ability to approach challenging problems with patience, creativity, and critical thinking.
As a tutor, I understand that not every student learns the same way. Some students need additional explanations, some learn best through visual demonstrations, and others simply need someone who is patient enough to walk them through a problem until everything clicks. I strive to create a comfortable, encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.
I believe that every student is capable of excelling academically with the right guidance, encouragement, and dedication. My course stems from all levels from beginner, intermediate, and advanced middle school and high school mathematics and other STEM related subjects! My lessons are straight forward and to the point. I focus on what the student is struggling with and guide them step-by-step so that they become masters within their subject of study!
I use a personalized, interactive tutoring system that allows students to follow along with my work in real time through live screen sharing. This approach enables me to demonstrate step-by-step solutions, explain complex concepts visually, and work through practice problems with students. I tailor each session to the student’s individual learning style, pace, and academic needs to ensure an engaging and effective learning experience.
On average, my students require approximately 5–7 lessons to develop a strong understanding of the subject material and demonstrate proficiency in the concepts being taught. However, I recognize that every student has unique learning needs, abilities, and goals. I am fully flexible and willing to adjust both the number of lessons and the duration of each session to accommodate each student's individual learning pace. My priority is to ensure that every student gains a thorough understanding of the material, builds confidence in their abilities, and achieves lasting academic success.
