About Gemma
I am going into my second year of combined physics and math at the University of British Columbia and am competent in math and sciences. During high school I earned my IB diploma and would be happy to advise students on how to successfully write their IB exams and internal assessments. I also am experienced in working with primary aged children and can assist with any learning difficulties a student may have.

I am passionate about helping students understand their course material with a concepts first approach. This involves making sure that students understand the concepts behind the questions they are asked in their classes, and where the concepts and formulas come from. I am patient and empathetic with students, and emphasize using relevant practice problems to teach core concepts and prepare students for tests.
