About Preethi

I'm a second year economics major at university of british columbia, okanagan campus. I love teaching as I'm always looking forward to boost students’ self-confidence by celebrating small wins and providing constructive feedback, which can be especially helpful for students struggling with these subjects.

About the lesson

My approach is student-centered, focusing on building confidence and understanding through clear, step-by-step explanations. I use engaging activities to make learning interactive and practical, breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts. I offer a patient, adaptive approach that meets students at their level and supports their growth. I tend to follow a choronological lesson plan which consists of introduction, warm up, concept explanation, guided practice, individual practice, review and wrap up.

These lessons are ideal for students from elementary to high school who need support in building foundational skills in math or English. My approach is especially suited to students who may feel uncertain or overwhelmed by these subjects, as I prioritize creating a comfortable and supportive environment that encourages growth and confidence.
