About Lara
Hi! I'm Lara, a 2nd year Geography student at the University of Oxford. Having achieved 10 grade 9s at GCSE as well as A*A*A at A-level with these grades securing my place at the University of Oxford, I am a qualified tutor for a wide range of subjects and can likewise assist with Oxbridge applications. I am a friendly and approachable tutor, passionate about helping students reach their full academic potential as well as develop their confidence in their own abilities. Indeed, having recently taken my A-levels, I understand the nerves students often feel when faced with these exams. With my academic background and informal approach to teaching I will work to bring out the best in students and help them achieve their academic goals!

My tutoring style is somewhat relaxed, as I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and confident to ask questions. I have a range of teaching styles, tailoring each session specifically to each individual's goals and learning needs so as to best help students flourish. I have supported students from a range of backgrounds with their personal statements and interview preparation, helping them stand out as candidates for top universities and boosting their confidence in their own ability. I have also previously tutored students for the 11+ exams (with a 100% success rate) as well as having tutored for French GCSE and am eager to help more students achieve their academic ambitions at a range of levels. Lessons will typically last 1-2 hours depending on what works best for the student.
