Having finished school exams recently, I'm in the perfect position in which I can give valuable advice retroactively, while still being fresh enough to relate to the struggle of schoolwork and exams.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is versatile and depends on the needs, desires and commitment level of my students. I task myself on teaching students the necessary skills to build long-term success. Before beginning to work together, I offer a voice or video call to discuss students needs and craft a study plan in anticipation for our first and concomitant lessons together.

I have 5+ years experience teaching students from ages 10-18 and offer general tuition as well as specific tuition with:

- Personal Statements
- Oxbridge applications & interviews.
- Common Entrance and Scholarship (Eton, Harrow, Westminster etc)
- IGCSE / GCSE English Language & English Literature
- A Level & IB English
- 11+ & Pre-tests (ISEB & school specific)

Perfect! James is a terrific English tutor. He is helping my daughter with her GCSE's. James has very good knowledge of the different exam boards and his lessons are always well prepared and useful. He is thoughtful and tries to accommodate last minute lesson requests and schedule changes. He has made a huge difference in my daughter's confidence. He's a keeper!
