About Jacob
I am a fourth-year student attending the University of British Columbia completing a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. I graduated with honours in high-school taking both AP English and AP Calculus courses. Currently, I maintain a competitive average as I prepare for admissions into dental school and am tutoring on the side. My philosophy to education is to make concepts as engaging as possible by first simplifying the topic to its fundamentals and continue by building up into more complex ideas. This technique can be thought of like building a house, first laying the foundation, and further building the framework, so on and so forth!

I am passionate about educating people in a variety of topics from chemistry and biology to acoustic and electric guitar. I enjoy explaining topics by using real world examples, allowing a student to make more intuitive connections that last a lifetime. I feel most comfortable giving lessons from school grades 5 to 12 in nearly all subjects, and up to a 2nd year level in biology and chemistry.
