About Tarek

I’m a University of Cambridge graduate who grew up in London. I’m fluent in 3 languages: English (Native), Portuguese (C2), Spanish (C1); and speak French to B1 level. I have taught at several international summer schools (China, Japan, Brazil) to students ranging from ages 10 to 67. Thus, I have extensive experience in teaching an intensive syllabus that immediately immerses the students and maximises progress in a short period of time. I also have over 500 hours experience with 121 teaching, allowing up to 5 of my students to reach C1 level in English. I love languages and my goal in teaching is to make you love them too!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Tarek, an English teacher with a real passion for languages, both learning and teaching them. Over the years, I studied many languages myself and have seen how rewarding it feels when you go from understanding words to truly thinking in a new language. My goal isn’t just to help you learn English, but also fall in love with the process of learning it. My lessons are designed to get you communicating as soon as possible. Instead of memorising endless topics or rigid textbook dialogues, we’ll focus on what really matters: the most common words, the key grammar rules, and the confidence to start speaking right away. Once you begin expressing yourself, even in the simplest of sentences, your progress will grow exponentially. I believe that language learning should feel exciting and natural, not overwhelming. Together we’ll build fluency step by step while keeping lessons practical, fun, and tailored to your interests. Whether you’re learning for travel, work, or personal growth, I’ll help you reach your goals (and enjoy every moment of getting there!).
