Ryan and I have collaborated many times together on school projects. When I was stuck on something we were working on, he had demonstrated lots of kindness and patience with me, explaining different 3D modeling concepts that I found too daunting to learn on my own, like baking, height maps, animation related things and working with trimsheets.
I was often too nervous to come to my teachers at school to ask for help because they were unable to explain things in a concise, direct manner whereas I could always count on Ryan to distill information in a way that I could easily digest and he cared about making sure that I actually understand what he's teaching. For this reason, I've paid Ryan in the past to tutor me more efficient workflows for Maya and to this day I come to him for advice regarding my personal 3D projects.
