About Susan
I am a University Science graduate who has worked as a Quality Assurance professional in the Chemical, Plastics, Natural Health, and Pharmaceutical industries. I have my Tesl certificate and have taught ESL as a supply teacher for 7 years. My teaching style is one that encourages and motivates students through various different lessons which are fun for them. I make sure that lessons are taught in context ie. vocabulary, themes such as work, health, school, etc.

Lesson structure:
1) Review or introduction to items in lesson plan
2) Discuss any current difficulties. Test for understanding
3) Lesson plan will include a variety of methods depending on level of student. For levels 1 - 3, more use of situational discussions, language for ease of settlement (banking, school, work, family, and basic sentence structure (nouns, verbs, adjectives). For higher levels, this will include more vocabulary, career vocabulary, reading and writing skills, resume development, TOEFL. For all students, the lessons will be focused on their needs, interests, and goals.
