About Chelsea

I am a recent graduate from the University of Toronto. I did a double-major in Biology and French Linguistics. Interesting combination right? Growing up in the French Immersion program from grade 1 through grade 12, I gained a profound passion for the French language. This passion lead me to pursue post-secondary studies in French, where I ultimately majored in French Linguistics. In university, I took many courses on phonetics, morphology, semantics, and other branches of linguistics. I also took courses on French teaching and learning which equipped me with the skills to be able to effectively teach what I have learned. In addition to this, I have a strong background in tutoring various subjects, including math, French, and English.

About the lesson

Do you struggle to understand French grammar rules? Look no further!

I am a recent university graduate with extensive knowledge of the French language, how to speak it, and how it works. I majored in French linguistics, where I investigated and studied the structure and rules of the French language in great depth. With this expertise, I am confident that I can help you improve your French.

My French teaching style will be centred around your strengths and needs. I am open to helping you with your homework if you are taking French classes, but I can also create personalized lesson plans for you if needed. We will go over grammar rules and vocabulary, as well as practicing speech and writing.

I am an ideal teacher for you if you are a beginner or intermediate French speaker (ie: DELF A1, A2, B1, B2). I am familiar with the Canadian French curriculum and each of the programs that are offered, such as French Immersion, Extended French, and Core French. I will be able to effectively tutor students at any of these levels.
