About Jacob
Hi my name is Jacob Chartres. I am an 18-year-old Maths and Economics student at the University of Leeds. Originally from Stockport, Manchester I have grown up knowing I need to work hard to achieve my aspirations. I am so friendly and bubbly, welcoming new students with open arms. As someone who has worked with children during work experience opportunities I acknowledge the importance of a smile and positive reinforcement. I understand the challenges ahead to achieve success and that goals are achieved through a marathon, not a sprint. I enjoy teaching and getting to know you, personalisation is key in my lesson so I will focus on YOU AND YOUR FEEDBACK. :)

LEARN. PRACTISE. MEMORISE. Active recall is the key to success. Not only will my sessions ensure a student can imagine the maths solutions in front of them and give them an alternative perspective to maths I will also encourage memorisation for the long run by using active recall methods in my lesson and giving advice for resources to be made/used outside of lessons too.
