About Lydia

Due to ill health I had to spend the last year studying for my GCSEs at home and thus had to tutor myself in many subjects. As such I have developed many useful strategies for preparing for these exams which I would like to share. I have always loved reading and writing and despite now studying a science subject, I would like to help and inspire students with language studies. I am now going on to study a creative writing MFA to expand my writing knowledge and skills.

About the lesson

Typical lesson lasts 1 hour. Help with structuring essays, analysing texts, and practice with real exam questions for GCSE English literature and language. I am a University of Oxford graduate who achieved grade 9 for both English literature and English language at GCSE level, and went on to study English lit at A level. I achieved a 1st in my project write-up and am currently working on my own novels for publication in the next 2 years. I also write multiple essays per week at university and so can assist with essay structuring and skills which may be useful for a future EPQ project, such as bibliography construction.
