About Jocelyn

I am currently in my final year studying French at university in Montreal, Quebec. I previously completed elementary and high school in BC French Immersion, as well as the five-week immersive French EXPLORE program in Quebec City. I like to teach with enthusiasm, motivation, adaptability, and a strong understanding of the language to help my students learn French with confidence and skill.

About the lesson

Growing up in an anglophone environment, I understand how daunting and challenging learning French can be. As your tutor, my goal is to teach French in a fun, approachable, and practical manner. I create an encouraging environment that helps you progress with tailored guidance. I am best suited for anglophone students, from kindergarten to high school and adult beginners.

How I'd love to teach you: - Adapting lesson plans and explanations to your level - Mixing technical grammar rules with real-life applications - Breaking homework concepts down step-by-step, so you can understand what’s happening and learn how to approach future work

Perfect! Jocelyn is a great tutor who truly knows what she’s doing. She uses effective teaching methods that encourage kids to interact and stay engaged. The lesson went very well, and I could see my son really listening, cooperating, and actively participating in the work. I’m very pleased with her approach and teaching style.

I couldn’t recommend Jocelyn enough! She’s friendly, patient and she knows her stuff! As someone who’s learning French for the first time, I was struggling a lot with pronunciation and grammar. But, Jocelyn has adapted every lesson to my needs and has given me plenty of opportunities for practice until I feel confident in my skills. I feel very supported by her. Pick Jocelyn as your French tutor!!

Jocelyn is my close friend of almost 10 years. She is extremely friendly, kind, and patient. She can work with all age groups and connect with anyone, making those around her feel heard, supported, and understood. Her people skills combined with years of experience learning and speaking French make her an excellent choice for a French tutor! Would highly recommend.

Jocelyn made me feel confident communicating in everyday required french in 2 months.
je te recommande Jocelyn pour pratiquer le français. :)
I moved to Montreal 6 months ago and was struggling alot with french. A friend of mine recommended me to Jocelyn and I nervously contacted her. Lucky me, she made things easier to get started and showed ton of patience explaining and repeating the words and phrases.
I genuinely recommend her for anyone who is interested in french or struggling with french.
