About Luca
I am a motivated and approachable tutor with a strong background in math, science, English, and problem-solving. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts and helping students build confidence in subjects they may initially find challenging.
I also have experience working with younger students as an assistant volleyball coach, where I learned how important it is to adapt the way I explain something depending on the person. Everyone learns differently, and I try to bring that same patience and flexibility into my tutoring.
I especially enjoy helping students understand *why* something works rather than simply memorizing steps. My goal is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.

My approach as a tutor is focused on making difficult concepts feel simple and manageable. Instead of only giving students the answer, I explain the reasoning behind each step so they can understand the concept and eventually solve similar problems independently. I adapt my teaching style depending on how each student learns best, using examples, diagrams, practice questions, and real-world applications whenever they are helpful.
A typical lesson starts by identifying what the student is currently working on and where they are having difficulty. We then review the important concepts, work through a few examples together, and finish with practice problems where the student takes the lead. I also make sure there is time for questions and review so that nothing is left unclear.
What sets me apart is that I try to explain things in more than one way. If one explanation does not click, I will approach the problem from a different angle until it does. I am patient, practical, and focused on helping students actually understand the material rather than simply memorize a procedure.
My lessons are suited for elementary and high school students who want extra help, stronger fundamentals, homework support, test preparation, or a better understanding of their class material. Lessons can also be adjusted to suit the student's current level, pace, and goals.
