About Claudia

I am currently in my third year at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. This year I have been studying at The University of Mancheter (England) doing my Erasmus. I have the Advance level of English (CAE) (C1). I have completed a double baccalaureate: I did the Spanish Baccalaureate (science module) to take the University access exam (Slectividad) and the International Baccalaureate (IB).
In recent years I have been doing summer internships in chemistry laboratories (organic and inorganic) and biology.

For several years I have been teaching classes in different subjects to several students with satisfactory results.

About the lesson

For Mathematics, my methodology focuses on "practice makes perfect". In addition, once a module is finished, I do not like to leave it aside, since mathematics is built on what you have previously learned. I like to relate the concepts with the previusly studied and do reviews / exams with all the content so far so that the student does not forget.

In the case of physics, the key is to understand matter. Personally, learning the formulas and model exercises does not help me, since the moment you change the exercise a little, you think you don't know how to do it. That is why, based on my personal experience, I like to focus the classes on understanding each point, understanding why X formula is applied. In addition, it is much more useful to learn few key formulas from which you can deduce the others and relate them to others, than to memorize letters that later do not make any sense.

In the case of chemistry, we can differentiate two parts. For inorganic chemistry, the instructions are the same as for physics. For organic chemistry, I focus on explaining the mechanisms so that, even if they only have to learn the final product, they know how it happened. This is beacause if they go blank on an exam, it is easier for them to try to deduce something from what they know, showing that they have the knowledge. It is also key that the structure of the molecules is understood, and to be able to develop spatial vision.

In addition to these subjects, I teach Spanish grammar and Literature, English and Biology (I have adds for each one of them); and the basis of all is that the student understands the subject, instead of memorizing.
