About Gemma

Hi, I’m Gemma, a friendly and supportive tutor with a passion for helping children grow in confidence and enjoy learning. I graduated from the University of Suffolk and have worked as an SEN teacher for the past two years, supporting children with a range of individual learning needs.
As both a teacher and a mum, I understand how important patience, encouragement, and building strong relationships are in helping children succeed. My aim is to create a calm, positive learning environment where every child feels confident, capable, and proud of their progress.

About the lesson

I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each student’s individual needs and learning style. My aim is to create a calm, supportive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities.

I specialise in supporting primary-aged children in English and maths, including reading support, SATs preparation, homework help, and confidence building. I particularly enjoy helping children who may feel anxious or need extra encouragement to reach their potential.

My lessons are engaging, positive, and designed to make learning enjoyable while helping students make steady progress. I focus not only on academic achievement but also on helping children feel proud of themselves and motivated to learn.
