About Serena
I am currently a student studying at the University of Toronto with a major in International Development Studies and a double minor in Environmental Science and Economics for Management. I took International Baccalaureate in high school (Higher Level: Geography, English, Visual Arts; Standard Level: Math, Chemistry, Mandarin). I will teach up to grade 11 math and chemistry.

My way of teaching depends on the student since everyone is different. If a student is unsure about a certain topic, I will teach them in a way in which they will understand. One of the International Baccalaureate chemistry teachers have asked me to teach my own classmates, all of them were able to understand afterwards, therefore I am confident I can teach well. My teacher even joked that I should teach her class. I have taught students of all levels, and grades. I was not born a gifted student, I had to teach myself for most of my classes as well. I understand what it's like to not understand something. I will give pointers of what I've learned on my own, if needed, to make it easier to understand. I will also greatly appreciate knowing beforehand what topics you would like to focus on in the following class. If you would like, I can also give some university application pointers or advice, just ask, I'll be happy to answer!
