About Callum

Hi! I’m currently studying Economics at the University of Warwick and will be starting my Master’s here soon. I’m offering maths tutoring to gain more experience and also because I know first-hand how much of a difference a good tutor can make. I had one myself when I was younger, and it gave me the support and confidence I needed at the time. Maths has always come naturally to me, and I often found myself helping friends and classmates understand topics they were struggling with. People usually describe me as patient, friendly, and easy to talk to. I try to explain things in a calm, straightforward way without putting any pressure on the student. I know how overwhelming maths can feel sometimes, so I aim to be a relatable figure they can feel comfortable learning from! There’s no strict teaching style with me. I adjust to what the student needs, whether that’s walking through questions together, breaking down topics from scratch, or just building confidence over time. Outside of tutoring, I play piano, enjoy badminton and follow football (I’m a Man United fan...). I mainly teach online at the moment and can be flexible with timings. Feel free to get in touch. About the lesson

I'm an Economics student at the University of Warwick and a prospective Master’s candidate, offering flexible, online maths tutoring for students aged 9 to 18, from Key Stage 2 through to GCSE and A-Level. I achieved Grade 9s in Maths and Further Maths at GCSE and an A* in A-Level Maths, and I’m passionate about helping students build a strong foundation and reach their full potential, whether preparing for school entrance exams, tackling homework, or aiming for top grades. My lessons are tailored to each student, with a focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps. I aim to create a calm and encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions and working at their own pace. Lessons typically run for 30 to 90 minutes, depending on age, attention span, and learning goals. I’ve supported siblings, friends, and classmates with their maths learning, and have plenty of experience working with younger children through helping my younger brother (age 5), cousins, and family friends' kids. I understand how to keep younger learners engaged and motivated, especially when preparing for entrance exams or developing early confidence in maths. These sessions are ideal for anyone looking for patient and relatable maths support, delivered online with flexible scheduling to suit your needs.
